05 Sep Wallpaper Can Infuse Delray Interiors with Style
As award-winning Delray Beach interior designer Tiffany Woolley will tell you, wallpaper can be a fabulous way to add drama to a powder room, personality to a pantry or an aura of calm to a master suite.
We are not talking about the wallpaper borders adorned with chickens that were popular in kitchens back in the 70s. And we’re not talking about covering every wall of every room with the same boring pattern as they did before then. Today’s wallpaper designs are bold and innovative and can really transform a space.
Modern Wallpaper Trends
The fresh colors and bold designs being used in wallpaper today are a great way to create a focal point in a room – any room.
The folks at HGTV shared some great examples of contemporary wallpaper.
- One of our favorites is the glass bead wallpaper designed by Beadazzled Flexible Glass Bead Wallcovering. As HGTV says, “The sheen of this wallpaper comes from the tiny glass beads that cover the surface. The beads on flexible paper are perfect for turning walls into shiny, unexpected focal points.” (You’re already picturing where you would want to hang this in your home, aren’t you?)
- And how about this idea for all the beautiful outdoor living spaces that we’ll be enjoying now that summer is finally loosening its grip on South Florida: outdoor wallpaper! From outdoor kitchens to shady patios, we have all been making better use of the outdoor spaces of our homes. Why shouldn’t we decorate those spaces with the same care we give to our interiors? (Especially now that outdoor entertainment will only get more popular in the age of Covid-19.)
- HGTV also shared some colorful examples of eco-friendly wall décor. In this case, we’re talking about woven jute wall coverings from twenty2 that add texture as well as color to your walls.
